Warranty and Product Care

Warranty & Product Care

Last Updated: 5 July 2026

Thank you for purchasing from Elnico.

Our products are designed and manufactured with care using high-quality materials to provide durable and stylish event décor. This guide explains how to care for your products and outlines our warranty policy.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

1. Our Quality Promise

Every product is carefully inspected before leaving our workshop.

As many of our products are handmade and made to order, slight variations in colour, grain, texture or finish may naturally occur and are not considered manufacturing defects.

2. 12-Month Manufacturing Warranty

We offer a 12-month warranty against defects in materials or workmanship from the date your order is delivered.

If a product develops a fault due to the way it was manufactured, we will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the product.
  • Supply replacement parts.
  • Replace the product.
  • Offer an appropriate refund where a repair or replacement is not possible.

Proof of purchase may be required.

3. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage.
  • Damage during transport after successful delivery.
  • General wear and tear.
  • Water damage.
  • Outdoor exposure unless the product is specifically advertised for outdoor use.
  • Excessive heat or moisture.
  • Improper storage.
  • Incorrect assembly.
  • Misuse or abuse.
  • Modifications or alterations made after purchase.
  • Damage caused by adhesives, nails, screws or fixings added by the customer.
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect the product's intended use.

4. MDF & Wooden Products

Many Elnico products are manufactured from MDF or wood-based materials.

To maximise the lifespan of your product:

  • Store indoors in a dry environment.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture.
  • Do not leave products outside overnight.
  • Avoid standing products on wet floors.
  • Keep away from direct heat sources.
  • Transport items carefully to prevent knocks or impact damage.

MDF can absorb moisture, which may cause swelling or distortion if stored incorrectly.

5. Painted Products

Our painted products are professionally finished; however, they should still be handled with care.

To protect the finish:

  • Avoid dragging items across hard surfaces.
  • Lift products rather than sliding them.
  • Prevent sharp objects from contacting painted surfaces.
  • Avoid using harsh cleaning chemicals.

Small marks from normal handling are considered general wear and are not covered by the warranty.

6. Cleaning

For routine cleaning:

  • Use a soft, dry or slightly damp microfibre cloth.
  • Wipe gently without excessive pressure.
  • Dry immediately after cleaning.

Do not use:

  • Bleach.
  • Solvents.
  • Abrasive cleaners.
  • Wire brushes.
  • Scouring pads.
  • Pressure washers.

These may permanently damage the finish.

7. Storage

Proper storage helps extend the life of your products.

We recommend:

  • Storing items upright where appropriate.
  • Keeping products in a dry indoor location.
  • Avoiding damp garages or sheds unless moisture is controlled.
  • Protecting painted surfaces with blankets or foam during transport.
  • Avoiding stacking heavy items on top of decorative products.

8. Assembly

Where products require assembly:

  • Assemble on a clean, flat surface.
  • Do not force components together.
  • Follow any instructions provided.
  • If a component does not fit correctly, contact us before making alterations.

Modifying products may void any warranty relating to the affected parts.

9. Reporting a Problem

If you believe your product has a manufacturing fault, please contact us as soon as possible.

To help us assess the issue, please provide:

  • Your order number.
  • A description of the problem.
  • Clear photographs of the product.
  • Photographs of any damaged packaging if the issue relates to delivery.

This allows us to resolve your claim as quickly as possible.

10. Limitation of Warranty

Our warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

This warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not extend to damage resulting from misuse, improper care, accidents or normal wear and tear.

11. Your Consumer Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any legal rights you may have as a consumer.
